Achieving Tax Relief for Georgians
- HB 11: Accelerates the largest state income tax cut rate in Georgia history, lowering the flat income tax rate to 5.19%. Over the next two years, this rate will decrease by an annual 0.10% – aiming for a 4.99% by 2027.
- HB 112: Authorizes a one-time tax refund for eligible Georgia taxpayers who filed income tax returns in 2023 and 2024. Refund amounts are up to $250 for single filers, $350 for head-of-household filers, and $500 for married couples filing jointly.
Providing Quality Education & Protecting Our Students
- HB 268: Mandates mobile panic alert systems in public schools, accelerates the transfer of academic and disciplinary records, and requires annual suicide and youth violence prevention training for students.
- SB 1 “Riley Gaines Act of 2025”: Mandates that athletic teams in public schools and colleges be designated as male, female or coed based on biological sex. Prohibits biological males from competing in female-designated sports teams and requires sex-specific use of restrooms, locker rooms, and overnight accommodations. Allows students to seek legal action if they believe their rights have been violated.
